Snowman Dishcloth

Size: About 9” round.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn; White – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m) Black – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m) Small amounts Orange and Blue.
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting in center with White, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 11 dc in ring; join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc) JOIN ALL DC RNDS IN THIS MANNER. DO NOT TURN EACH RND.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in each dc around; join. (24 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same dc as joining, dc in next dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc) 11 times; join. (36 dc)
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in same dc as joining, dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc) 11 times; join. (48 dc)
Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in same dc as joining, dc in next 3 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc) 11 times; join. (60 dc)
Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in same dc as joining, dc in next 4 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc) 11 times; join. (72 dc)
Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in same dc as joining, dc in next 5 dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc) 11 times; join. (84 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.

HAT
Row 1 (Right Side): Starting with brim of hat, with Black, ch 27, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (26 sc)
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
At the end of Row 3, finish off and weave in ends.
Row 4: With right side facing, skip first 4 sc, join Blue with sc to 5^th sc, sc in next 17 sc. (18 sc) Leave rem sts unworked.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (18 sc) Finish off Blue and weave in ends.
Row 6: With right side facing, join Black with sc to 1^st sc of Row 5, sc in each st across. (18 sc)
Row 7-8: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in same st, sc in each st across to last st, 2 sc in last st. (20, 22 sc)
At the end of Row 8, finish off and weave in ends.

EYES (Make 2)
Rnd 1: Starting at center, with Black, ch 2, 6 sc in 2^nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off leaving long end.

MOUTH
With Black, ** ch 1 (center ch), * ch 2, sl st in 2^nd ch from hook and in center ch, rep from * once more, ** ch 18, rep from ** to **. Finish off leaving long end.

CARROT
With Orange, ch 6, sl st in 2^nd ch from hook, sl st in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, (2 sc, sl st) in last ch, working in unused lps of starting ch on other side, sl st in next 4 ch. Finish off leaving long end.

Finishing USE PHOTO AS A GUIDE
- With right side facing, position and glue Hat onto Dishcloth.
- Using long ends, sew Eyes, Carrot and Mouth to Dishcloth.
