Size: About 8” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn; Small amount Yellow Red – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m) White – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m) Green – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
To Change Colors
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Cluster (cl): Yo, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo, draw up lp to height of dc, [yo, insert hook in same st or sp, yo, draw up lp to same height] 4 times, yo, pull through all 11 lps on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting in center with Yellow, ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1, 16 sc in ring; change color to B, with B, join with sl st to first sc. (16 sc) Finish off A and weave in ends.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Red with sl st to any sc, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), [dc in next sc, ch 1] around; change color to C, with C, join with sl st to first dc. (16 dc and 16 ch-1 sps)
Rnd 3: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, cl in same sp, ch 3, [cl in next ch-1 sp, ch 3] around; join with sl st to top of first cl. (16 cl and 16 ch-3 sps) Finish off Red and weave in ends.
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join White with sc in any ch -3 sp, 2 sc in same sp, 3 sc in next 2 ch-3 sps, (hdc, dc, 2 ch, dc, hdc) in next ch-3 sp, [3 sc in next 3 ch-3 sps, (hdc, dc, 2 ch, dc, hdc) in next ch-3 sp] around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 5: With right side facing, join Green with sl st to any corner ch-2 sp, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp, [dc in next st] around, working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner ch-2 sps; join with sl st to first dc.
Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in next dc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner ch-2 sp, [dc in next dc] around, working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner ch-2 sps; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 7: With right side facing, join White with sc to corner ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in same sp, [sc in next dc] around, working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner ch-2 sp; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 8: With right side facing, join Green with sc to any ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in same sp, ch 3, [skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch 3] around, working (sc, ch 3, sc) in each corner ch-2 sp; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
