Candy Corn Dishcloth

Skill: Easy
Size: About 9” wide (widest point) and 8” long.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn; White – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m) Orange – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m) Yellow – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
To Change Colors Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) Starting at top with White, ch 2, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (3 sc)
Note: All rows are worked in back loops only.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc now and throughout), turn, sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc, hdc) in last sc. (2 hdc and 4 sc)
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 6 sc)
Row 4: Ch 2, turn, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 8 sc)
Row 5: Ch 2, turn, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 10 sc)
Row 6: Ch 2, turn, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 12 sc)
Row 7: Ch 2, turn, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 14 sc)
Row 8: Ch 2, turn, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 16 sc) Change color to Orange. Finish off White and weave in ends.
Row 9: With Orange, ch 2, turn, [sc in next sc] across to last hdc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 16 sc)
Row 10: Ch 2, turn, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 18 sc)
Row 11: Ch 2, turn, [sc in next sc] across to last hdc, hdc in last hdc. (2 hdc and 18 sc)

I love this one!!! Candy corn has such festive colors
Love this dishcloth! Hopefully there will be some more autumn ones. Wish I could design. These dishcloths are all wonderful. Thanks to all the designers!

I love this pattern. I’m going to make it for my Granddaughter for her bath. This goes right along with the Hat and Poncho Candy Corn outfit that Maggie designed for little girls. I made one for Cami and we just got pictures of her wearing it. Thanks for your neat designs Maggie.
