Size: About 8” wide, 12” long
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Blue – 2 oz, 100 yd (60 g, 92 m)(Bernat Cottontots)
Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Cluster (cl): Ch 3, yo, insert hook in 3rd ch from hook, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook, yo, insert hook in same ch, yo, pull up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook, yo and pull through 3 loops on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) Ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, ch 3, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 3, [skip next 2 ch, sc in next 3 ch, ch 3, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 3] across to last 4 ch, skip next 2 ch, sc in last 2 ch.
Row 2: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), turn, sc in next ch-3 sp, cl, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, skip next sc, dc in next sc, [ch 2, sc in next ch-3 sp, cl, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, skip next sc, dc in next sc] across.
Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch 3), turn, sc in next sc, working behind next cl, dc in dc below cl, sc in next sc, ch 3, [dc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next sc, working behind cl, dc in dc below cl, sc in next sc, ch 3] across, ending with dc in last dc.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, skip next sc, dc in next dc, ch 2, sc in next ch-3 sp, [cl, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, skip next sc, dc in next dc, ch 2, sc in next ch-3 sp] across, ending with sc in last
dc.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 3, [sc in next sc, working behind cl, dc in dc below cl, sc in next sc, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 3] across, ending with sc in last 2 sc.
Rows 6-30: Rep Rows 2-5.
At the end of Row 30, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, dc evenly around, working 3 dc in each corner; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.
