Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Red – 2 oz, 100 yd (60 g, 92 yd); White – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 yd) (Sugar ‘n Cream)
Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Front Post Treble: (FPtr): Yo hook twice, insert hook from front to back to front around the post of indicated st, yo hook, pull up lp, [yo hook, pull through 2 lps] 3 times.
Unless noted otherwise, always skip the st behind the FPtr.
DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Red, ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2, now and throughout), [3 dc in ring, ch 2] 3 times, 2 dc in ring; join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc and 4 ch-2 sps)
Rnd 2: Sl st to ch-2 sp, ch 5, 2 dc in same sp, dc in next 3 dc, [(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 sp, dc in next 3 dc] 3 times; dc in first ch-2 sp; join. (28 dc and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 3: With right side facing, join White with sc to any ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in same sp (mark this sc), sc in next 7 dc, [(sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch-2 sp, sc in next 7 dc] 3 times; join with sl st to first sc. (36 sc and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join Red with sl st to any ch-2 sp, ch 5, 2 dc in same sp, [dc in next sc] across to corner, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next corner ch-2 sp, [dc in next sc] across to corner; rep from * 3 times; dc in first ch-2 sp; join. (52 dc and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 5: With right side facing, join White with sc to any ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in same sp, * sc in next dc, FPtr in marked sc one rnd below, sc in next 9 dc, FPtr in corresponding corner sc one rnd below, sc in next dc **, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ending at ** on final repeat; join. (52 sc, 8 FPtr and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 6: With right side facing, join Red with sl st to any ch-2 sp, ch 5, 2 dc in same sp, [dc in next st] across to corner, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next corner ch-2 sp, [dc in next st] across to corner; rep from * 3 times; dc in first ch-2 sp; join. (76 dc and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 7: With right side facing, join White with sc to any ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in same sp, * sc in next 4 dc, FPtr in FPtr one rnd below, sc in next 9 dc, FPtr in corresponding FPtr one rnd below, sc in next 4 dc **, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ending at ** on final repeat; join. (76 sc, 8 FPtr and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 9: With right side facing, join White with sc to any ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in same sp, * sc in next 6 dc, FPtr in FPtr one rnd below, sc in next 11 dc, FPtr in corresponding FPtr one rnd below, sc in next 6 dc **, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ending at ** on final repeat; join. (100 sc, 8 FPtr and 4 ch-2 sps) DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Rnd 10: Ch1, sc in same st as joining, 3 sc in corner ch-2 sp, [sc in next st] across, working 3 sc in each corner ch-2 sp; join. Finish off and weave in ends.
