Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: White – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 yd); Light Green – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 yd); Dark Green – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 yd); Light Rose – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 yd); Dark Rose – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 yd) (Bernat Cottontots)
Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm)
TO CHANGE COLORS
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Dark Rose, ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1, [sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc] 6 times in ring; join with sl st to first sc. (6 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Light Rose with sl st between any 2 sc, ch 4, [sl st between next 2 sc, ch 4] around; join with sl st to first sl st. (6 ch-4 sps)
Rnd 3: Sl st in ch-4 sp, ch 1, (sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in same sp, [(sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in next ch-sp] around; join with sl st to first sc. (6 petals)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc between 2 sc, working behind petals, ch 4, [sc in sp between next 2 petals, ch 4] around; join with sl st to first sc. (6 ch-4 sps)
Rnd 5: Working in petals, [ch 3, sl st in next st] around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 6: With right side facing, working behind petals, join Dark Green with sl st to any ch-4 sp on Rnd 4, ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same sp, ch 1, [(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-4 sp, ch 1] around; join with sl st to first dc. (36 dc, 6 ch-2 sps, 6 ch-1 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 7: With right side facing, join White with sl st to any ch-2 sp, ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch 3), dc in same sp, [ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next dc or ch-1 sp] 3 times, ch 1, skip next dc, * (dc, ch 3, dc) in next ch-2 sp, [ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next dc or ch-1 sp] 3 times, ch 1, skip next dc; rep from * around; join. (24 ch-1 sps, 6 ch-3 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 8: With right side facing, join Light Green with sl st to any corner ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), (dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same sp, [dc in next dc, dc in next ch-1 sp] around, working, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in each corner ch-3 sp; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends. (78 dc)
Rnd 9: With right side facing, join White with sl st to any ch-3 sp, ch 5 (counts as first hdc and ch 3), hdc in same sp, ch 1, [skip next dc, hdc in next dc] around, working (hdc, ch 3, hdc) in corner ch-3 sps; join with sl st to first hdc. (48 hdc, 42 ch-1 sps, 6 ch-3 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

I tried several times to start this dishcloth but couldn’t get the required number of stitches in the chain 5 loop so I used a magic loop. It turned out really good. I made this dishcloth as a gift for a co-worker that was retiring. She love it.
