Designer Cathy Robbins wrote: “My grandmother and great-grandmother taught me to crochet when I would visit them in the summer as a little girl, and I’ve loved it ever since. It wasn’t until I was making an afghan for my youngest child (she is now 10) that I really started to explore my own creativity with stitches and color variations. Since then, it seems that I can’t stick to a pattern without deviating in some way, and I love creating my own designs. I haven’t sold any patterns yet, but that hasn’t dampened my desire to express myself through the textures and colors of crochet. I love it!”
“This pattern is inspired by the stitches used in the Textured Stripe Harvest Afghan by Tammy Hildebrand in the October 2009 issue of Crochet World magazine. I love the interplay of texture and color! It reminds me of a sunny day with fluffy clouds floating through the air.”
Cathy – thank you for sharing your first public design with us. You did a beautiful job!

Notes
1) The washcloth is worked without turning after each round.
2) Carry the unused colors up the back of the work. When working the first stitch in each round, simply work around the unused colors, keeping them to the back of your work.
