#70 Shaded Shells Crochet Dishcloth

March 11th – We are finally caught up with the posting of the dishcloths!!!  Yahh!!!  Now we will post one a day from this point going forward.

Skill: Easy
Size: About 9” square
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn:
Shaded Pinks – 1½ oz, 71 yd (42 g, 64 m)
(Peaches & Crème – Strawberry Cream)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
Gauge: Rows 1-4 = 7” wide, 2” long.

Special Stitches
Shell: (3 dc, ch 1, dc) in st or space indicated.

DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) Ch 28, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next ch) across. (27 sc)
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, (skip next 3 sc, shell in next sc) 6 times, ending with dc in last sc.
Rows 3-12: Ch 3, turn, Shell in each ch-1 sp across, ending with dc in sp before last dc.
Row 13: Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, sc in sp after first dc, (skip next dc, sc in next ch-1 sp, sc in next 3 dc) 6 times, sc in sp before last dc. (27 sc) DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across to corner, ch 2; * working in sides of rows, evenly work 25 sc, ch 2 *; working in unused lps of starting ch, sc in each ch across, ch 2; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, (ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 13 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next corner ch-2 sp, sc in next sc, (ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 12 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next corner ch-2 sp, sc in next sc, (ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 13 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next corner ch-2 sp, (ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 12 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next corner ch-2 sp, ch 2; join.

    Caught up? As I was checking to see if I had caught up to your postings, I noticed there is no 68…did I miss it somewhere? I’m checking this link http://www.bestfreecrochet.com/?cat=75

    I’m so enjoying these and just a note. As I copy them, each picture is highlighted and I get another choice with colors. I feel as if I am getting double patterns.
