RED HEART® With Love®: 1 skein each 1538 Lilac A, 1803 Blue Hawaii B, 1601 Lettuce C, 1502 Iced Aqua D, 1252 Mango E and 1703 Candy Pink FSusan Bates® Crochet Hook: 6.5 mm [US K-10.5]
Throw measures 47 x 60” (119.5 x 152.5cm)
GAUGE: 11 dc = 4” (10 cm) and 6 rows = 4” (10cm). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.
Notes
1.To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Fasten off old color.
2. Side Edging is worked with Right Side facing; do not turn at end of each row.
Special Abbreviations
rev sc: Work single crochet in opposite direction by inserting hook in next stitch (to the right if right-handed, and to the left if left- handed), yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.
THROW
With A, ch 131.
Row 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook (counts as dc, ch 1), dc in next 10 chs, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch, dc in next 11 chs, skip next 2 chs, [dc in next 11 chs, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch, dc in next 11 chs, skip next 2 chs] 4 times, ending last repeat with skip next ch, dc in last ch; turn—5 peaks.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), skip first 2 dc, [dc in next 11 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 space, dc in next 11 dc, skip next 2 dc] 5 times, ending last repeat with skip 1 dc, dc in beginning ch-3; turn.
Rows 3-38: Repeat Row 2 in the following color sequence: 3 rows A, 5 rows C, 5 rows B, 5 rows D, 5 rows E, 5 rows F, 2 rows A, 2 rows C, 2 rows B, and 2 rows D, changing to E in last stitch.
Row 39: With E, ch 2, skip first 2 dc, [hdc in next 11 dc, (hdc, ch 1, hdc) in next ch-1 space, hdc in next 11 dc, skip next 2 dc] 5 times, ending last repeat with skip 1 dc, hdc in beginning ch-3.
Rows 40-43: Repeat Row 39 in the following color sequence: 1 row F, 1 row E, 1 row F, 1 row E, changing to D in last stitch.
Rows 44-81: Repeat Row 2 in the following color sequence: 2 rows D, 2 rows B, 2 rows C, 2 rows A, 5 rows F, 5 rows E, 5 rows D, 5 rows B, 5 rows C, and 5 rows A. Fasten off.
FIRST SIDE EDGING
Note: Work along each straight side edge of piece, working sts around ch-3 or dc stem of each row.
Row 1: With Right Side facing, join A with slip st in corner of straight side edge, ch 2 (counts as first hdc), work 1 hdc around same st, work 2 hdc around each row end across—162 sts. Fasten off A.
Row 2: With Right Side facing, join E with slip st in beginning ch-2 of Row 1, ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc between beginning ch-2 and next hdc of Row 1, dc between each hdc of Row 1 across. Fasten off  E.
Row 3: With Right Side facing, join D with slip st in beginning ch-3 of Row 2, ch 2, hdc in each dc across. Fasten off D.
Row 4: With Right Side facing and C, repeat Row 2. Fasten off C.
Row 5: With Right Side facing and B, repeat Row 3.
Row 6: Ch 1, rev sc in each st across. Fasten off B.
SECOND SIDE EDGING
Repeat as for First Side Edging along opposite straight side edge of Throw in the following color sequence: 1 row A, 1 row F, 1 row C, 1 row B, and 2 row D. Fasten off.
