Throw Measures: 46” [116.84 cm] x 61” [154.94cm]
Gauge: Rows 1–3 = 4” [10cm] wide x 3.5” [8.89cm] long. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.

Special Stitches

Large shell = 11 tr in indicated st.

Small shell = 5 dc in indicated st.

NOTES

1. Work 8 panels.

2. Row 1 establishes right side.

3. To change color, fasten off last color used. With new color and wrong side facing, draw up a loop in first sc and chain-4.

4. Chain-4 counts as first tr unless otherwise stated.

5. Work panels from top to bottom.
THROW

With D, ch 10.

Foundation Row: Working in back loops, dc in 4th from hook (counts as center ch-3 space), ch 7, turn.

Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, large shell in center ch-3 space, skip next 4 chs, sc in back loop of last 2 chs, ch 4, turn.

Row 2 (Wrong Side): Tr in next sc, ch 3, skip next 4 tr, sc in next tr, ch 3, skip 1 tr (center), sc in next tr, ch 3, skip last 4 tr, tr in last 2 sc, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in first 2 tr, large shell in center ch-3 space, sc in last 2 tr, ch 4, turn. Fasten off D.

Rows 4–9: With C, [repeat rows 2 and 3] 3 times. Fasten off C at end of last row.

Rows 10–17: With B, [repeat rows 2 and 3] 4 times. Fasten off B at end of last row.

Rows 18–21: With D, [repeat rows 2 and 3] twice. Fasten off D at end of last row.

Rows 22–57: [Repeat rows 4–21] twice.

Rows 58–71: Repeat rows 4–17. At end of last row, do not fasten off, ch 4, turn.Row 72: Tr in next sc, ch 4, skip next 4 tr, sc in next tr, ch 3, skip next tr, sc in next tr, ch 4, skip 4 tr, tr in last 2 sc. Fasten off B.

BORDER

With A and right side facing, draw up a loop in first ch at bottom right hand corner and ch 1.

Round 1 (Right Side): Working across bottom edge, (sc, ch 2, sc) in same ch, skip next ch, small shell in next ch-4 space, (sc, small shell, sc) in next ch-3 space, small shell in next space, skip next ch, (sc, ch 2, sc) in last ch, working across side in ends of rows, sc in end of next sc, *small shell around next tr, sc in top of same tr**, sc in end of next sc*, repeat from * to * across, ending last repeat at **, working across top edge, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next tr, small shell in next ch-4 space, sc in next sc, small shell in next ch-3 space, sc in next sc, small shell in last ch-4 space, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next tr, sc in top of last tr, working across side, *small shell around same tr on edge, sc in end of next sc, sc in top of next tr*, repeat from * to * across, ending with small shell around last tr, sc in next sc, sl st to join in beginning sc.

    Hello dear Maggie. This patterns is so very nice. I have made for my Daugher a bedsperd of this patterns. It is so nice and easy. I have done it all one “Yellow” colour to go with her spare bedroom. It has lighented up the whole place. I do recommand it to many of the persons who do crocheting. They will fall in love with it.
