Size:
About 9½” square.

Materials:
Worsted Weight Cotton: White – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m) Brown – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m) Gold – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream)

Crochet Hook:
Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

To Change Colors

Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

JOINING WITH SC


When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

DISHCLOTH

Rnd 1:
(Right Side) Starting at center, with Brown, ch 6; join with sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 3 dc in ring, ch 2, [4 dc in ring, ch 2] 3 times; join with sl st to first dc. (16 dc)

Rnd 2:
Sl st in next dc, sl st between same dc and next dc, ch 1, sc in same sp, 9 dc in next ch-2 sp (corner), [skip next dc, sc between next 2 dc, 9 dc in next ch-2 sp] around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 3:
With right side facing, join Gold with sl st to any sc, ch 3, dc in same sc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc, [hdc in next 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, hdc in next 2 dc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc, 2 dc in next sc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc] around; join.

Rnd 4:
Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next dc, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next 2 hdc, sc in next dc, ch 4, skip next dc, sc in next dc, sc in next 2 hdc, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, [dc in next 2 dc, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next 2 hdc, sc in next dc, ch 4, skip next dc, sc in next dc, sc in next 2 hdc, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp] around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 5:
With right side facing, join White with sl st to any ch-4 sp, ch 3, 8 dc in same sp, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 2, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, ch 2, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, skip next 2 sc, [9 dc in next ch-4 sp, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 2, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, ch 2, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, skip next 2 sc] around; join.

Rnd 6:
Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 3 dc, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next dc, sc in next 4 dc, sc in next sc, ch 2, sc in next 2 sc, ch 2, sc in next sc, [sc in next 4 dc, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next dc, sc in next 4 dc, sc in next sc, ch 2, sc in next 2 sc, ch 2, sc in next sc] around; join.

Rnd 7:

Ch 3, dc in next 5 sc, 5 dc in next sc, dc in next 7 sc, ch 2, dc in next 2 sc, ch 2, [dc in next 7 sc, 5 dc in next sc, dc in next 7 sc, ch 2, dc in next 2 sc, ch 2] around, ending, dc in next sc; join with sl st to back loop of first dc.

Rnd 9:
Ch 3, working in back loops only, dc in each dc and ch around, working 5 dc in center dc of corner 5-dc group; join. Finish off and weave in ends.

Chocolate Trim

Rnd 1:
With right side facing, working in front loops of Rnd 8, join Brown with sc to center lp of any 5-dc group, * ch 5, sc in same lp (corner), [ch 5, skip next lp, sc in next lp] 6 times, sc in next lp, [ch 5, skip next lp, sc in next lp] 6 times; rep from * around, omitting last sc on final repeat; join with sl st to first sc.

Edging

Rnd 1:
With right side facing, working in Rnd 9, join Gold with sc to 4th dc of any 5-dc group, sc in next dc, ♥ * [sc in next dc (picking up back bar of center ch of corresponding ch-5 group of Trim), sc in next dc] 6 times, sc in next dc *; rep from * to * once more, sc in next (center) dc (picking up back bar of center ch), sc in next dc; rep from ♥ around, omitting last sc on final repeat; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
