Skill: Easy

Size: About 8½” wide, 9½ long

Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: White – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 68 m); Green – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m); Orange – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream- Ecru, Hunter Green, Tangerine)

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

Special Stitches

V-Stitch (v-st):
(Dc, ch 1, dc) in same st or sp indicated.

DISHCLOTH

Row 1:
(Right Side) With White, ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch 3, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 3, skip next 2 ch, sc in next ch] across. (4 dc, 5 sc and 8 ch-3 lps) Finish off and weave in ends.

Row 2:
With right side facing, join next Green with sl st to first sc, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), dc in same sc, sc in next dc, * (dc, [ch 1, dc] twice) in next sc, sc in next dc; rep from * across to last sc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in last sc.

Row 3:
Ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch 3), turn, sc in next sc, ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc, [ch 3, sc in next sc, ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc] across. Finish off and weave in ends.

Row 4:
With right side facing, join White with sc to first dc, * (dc [ch 1 dc] twice) in next sc, sc in next dc; rep from * across.

Row 5:
Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next sc, [ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next sc] across.

Row 6:
With right side facing, join next Orange with sl st to first sc, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), dc in same sc, sc in next dc, * (dc, [ch 1, dc] twice) in next sc, sc in next dc; rep from * across to last sc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in last sc.

Row 7:
Ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch 3), turn, sc in next sc, ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc, [ch 3, sc in next sc, ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc] across. Finish off and weave in ends.

Row 8:
With right side facing, join White with sc to first dc, * (dc [ch 1 dc] twice) in next sc, sc in next dc; rep from * across.

Row 9:
Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next sc, [ch 3, skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next sc] across.

Rows 10-16:
Rep Rows 2-8.

At the end of Row 16, DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Rnd 1:
Ch 1, 3 sc in first dc, evenly sc around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2:
Sl st to next sc (center sc of corner 3-sc group), ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), (dc, ch 1, v-st) in same sc, [skip next 2 sc, v-st in next sc] around, working (v-st, ch 1, v-st) in center sc or corner 3-sc group; join with sl st to first dc.

(Note: You might need to skip one sc less or one sc more across each side. Make sure you have the same number of v-sts on opposite sides.)
