Jen’s Hugly Scarf – Beginner Crochet Free Pattern

Here at Maggie’s Crochet we have an amazing team.  One of the amazing team members is Jen.  Jen works here full time and builds pottery, takes care of customers and a lot of other things we need her to do.  Last year she learned to crochet.  Her first project was a little basket that turned out big enough to be a Barbie Doll tote.  Just recently she kept talking about a scarf she made.  She called it her “ugly”.  We talked her into bringing it to work.  Jen’s “ugly” was not ugly at all, it was beautiful and VERY WELL done. I asked Wendi our pattern editor to write up the pattern so we could share it with you.  Wendi came up with “Hugly” for Jen’s new design. Jen wants everyone out there to know: “If she can do it – you can do it”.

Jen’s beginner scarf pattern is easy to make with worsted weight yarn and a medium size crochet hook.  It is worked from side to side lengthwise in all single crochet (sc) stitches (sts).

Hi Thanks for the free pattern of Jen Huglys scarf. But when do you use the special stitches in the pattern? It just says crochet in back loop.

Miss Jennifer, this by no way or means could be called ugly. You have a gift to create.
