Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8].

Yarn needle.

Size: Cowl measures 12” [30 cm] x 28” [71 cm] circumference.

GAUGE: 10 sts = 4” [10 cm] in pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Special Abbreviation:

dcCL (dc cluster)= [Yarn over and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops] twice in next st, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Ch 33.

Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook, dcCL in each ch across; turn – 31 sts.

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in first dcCL, dcCL in top of each dcCL across; turn.

Repeat Row 2 until 28” [71 cm] from beginning.

FINISHING

Holding right sides together, slip st across ends to join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
