Crochet Hook: 1.65mm [US 7].Thread needle, stitch marker.
Runner measures 14” wide x 60” long. Changes for lengths of 90” and 120” are in parentheses.
GAUGE: 44 sts = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in double crochet.CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
SPECIAL STITCHES

V-st = (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated stitch or space.

shell = (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in indicated space.NOTES

1. Runner is worked in joined rounds. Join at the end of each round and turn before beginning the next round.

2. Always change color in the last stitch of a round.

3. To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Fasten off old color.

Color Sequence: Work Rounds 1–12 with A, Rounds 13–21 with B, Rounds 22–27 with C, Rounds 28–36 with D, Rounds 37–42 with E.

RUNNER

With A, ch 508 (838, 1168).

Round 1 (Right Side): Place a marker in the 3rd ch from hook, dc in 4th ch from hook (beginning ch counts as first dc), dc in each remaining ch across to last ch, (V-st, 3 dc, V-st) in last ch; working across opposite side of ch, dc in each ch across to marked ch, (V-st, 4 dc) in marked ch (remove marker), ch 1; join with slip st in top of beginning ch, turn—1022 (1682, 2342) dc and 4 corner ch-1 spaces. Change color according to color sequence.

Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in each st around, working a shell in each corner ch-1 space; join with slip st in top of turning ch, turn—1038 (1698, 2358) dc and 4 corner ch-1 spaces.

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in each st around, working a shell in each corner ch-1 space; join with slip st in top of turning ch, turn—1054 (1714, 2374) dc and 4 corner ch-1 spaces.

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in each st around, working a V-st in each corner ch-1 space; join with slip st in top of turning ch, turn—1062 (1722, 2382) dc and 4 ch-1 spaces.

Rounds 5–12: Repeat Rounds 3 and 4 four times; change to B in last st of Round 12.

Rounds 13–42: Beginning with B, repeat Rounds 3 and 4 fifteen times, and continue to change color as in color sequence. Do not fasten off.

FINISHING

Edging

With E, ch 1, sc in each dc around, working 3 sc in each corner ch-1 space; join with slip st in first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Block lightly.
