Skill: Intermediate

Size: 15” x 45”.

Materials: Size 10 Crochet Thread; White (MC) – 810 yds (730 meters); Pink (CC) – 378 yds (340 meters); Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hook: Size 7 (1.65 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: Motif is about 2 ¾” across.

First Motif

Rnd 1: With CC, ch 10; sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 4 (counts as first tr), 31 tr in ring; join with sl st to first tr. (32 tr) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 2: Join MC with sl st to tr, ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), dc in next 3 tr, (ch 4, dc in next 4 tr) around, ch 4; join with sl st to first dc.  (32 dc, 8 ch-4 sps)

Rnd 3: Sl st in next dc, ch 1, (sc in next dc, 9 dc in ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) around; join with sl st in first sc. (8 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.

Second Motif

Rnds 1-2: Rep Rnds 1-2 as for First Motif.

Rnd 3: Sl st in next dc, ch 1, (sc in next dc, 5 dc in next ch-4 sp, holding both Motifs with wrong sides together, sl st in top of corresponding 5^th dc in Rnd 3 of first Motif, 4 dc in same ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) twice, (sc in next dc, 9 dc in next ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) around; join with sl st in first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Third Motif

Rnds 1-2: Rep Rnds 1-2 as for First Motif.

Rnd 3: Sl st in next dc, ch 1, (sc in next dc, 5 dc in next ch-4 sp, holding both Motifs with wrong sides together, sl st in top of 5^th dc in next open petal of First Motif, 4 dc in same ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) twice, (sc in next dc, 9 dc in next ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) around; join with sl st in first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Fourth Motif

Rnds 1-2: Rep Rnds 1-2 as for First Motif.

Rnd 3: Sl st in next dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, 5 dc in ch-4 sp, sl st in top of 5^th dc in 4^th petal of Second Motif, 4 dc in same ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, 5 dc in next ch-4 sp, sl st in top of 5^th dc in 3^rd petal of Second Motif, 4 dc in same ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc, (sc in next dc, 5 dc in next ch-4 sp, sl st in top of 5^th dc of next open petal of First Motif, 4 dc in same ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) twice, (sc in next dc, 9 dc in next ch-4 sp, skip 2 dc) around; join with sl st in first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Continue adding Motifs as established, until Runner is 6 motifs wide and 18 motifs long, for a total of 108 Motifs.
