Size: About 10” wide and 8” long
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Pink – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m) Light Pink – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) Small amounts White and Black
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Single Crochet Decrease: (sc dec): Draw up a lp in each of next 2 sts, yo and draw through 3 lps on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Body
Rnd 1: (Right side) With Pink, ch 11, 5 dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped ch count as a dc); dc in next 6 ch, 6 dc in next ch; working in unused lps of starting ch on other side, dc in next 6 ch; join with sl st to first dc. (24 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), dc in same st as joining; 2 dc in next 5 dc; dc in next 6 dc, 2 dc in next 6 dc; dc in next 6 dc; join. (36 dc)
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next dc; [2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc] 5 times; dc in next 6 dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc] 6 times; dc in next 6 dc; join. (48 dc)
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next 2 dc; [2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc] 5 times; dc in next 6 dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc] 6 times; dc in next 6 dc; join. (60 dc)

Border
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 15 dc, ch 15, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook; 2 sc in next 13 chs (Tail made); sc in next 22 dc. DO NOT FINISH OFF.
First Foot:
Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sc; do not turn; sl st in side of next 2 rows; sc in next 12 dc of Body. DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Second Foot:
Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sc; do not turn; sl st in side of next 2 rows; sc in next 16 dc of body. DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Snout:
Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 6 sc; do not turn; sl st in side of next 2 rows; sc in next 18 dc on Body; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Ears (Make 2)
Row 1: (Right side) With Light Pink, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [sc in next ch] across. (6 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc dec, sc in next 2 sc, sc dec. (4 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, [sc dec] twice (2 sc)
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc dec. (1 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Ear Border:
Hold ear with right side facing you and long edge at top; join pink in first unused lp of beg ch-7; ch 1, 2 sc in same lp as joining; working in rem unused lps, sc in next lp, skip next 2 lps, sc in next lp, 2 sc in next lp; sc in next 3 edge sc, 2 sc in next st; sc in next 3 edge sc; join in first sc. Finish off, leaving a 12” end for sewing. Repeat for second Ear.
Tip of Nose
With Light Pink, ch 6; sl st in 3rd ch from hook; 2 sc in next 2 chs; in next ch work (sl st, ch 1, sl st); working in unused lps on opposite side of beg ch, 2 sc in next 2 lps; sl st in next lp. Finish off, leaving a 12” end for sewing.
EYE
Rnd 1: Starting at center, with Black, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join White with sc in any sc, 2 sc in next sc, [sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc} around; join as before. (12 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Finishing – use photo as guide
- Sew tip of Nose to snout.
- Sew eye to Rnds 5 and 6 of Body to left of snout.
- Sew one Ear on border rnd second Ear to left of Eye.

Omgosh I just love this, I LOVE all kinds of lil piggies
I made this little piggy last night, but there are no directions for the eye! I am a self-taught semi-beginner, so cannot figure out how to make it myself. Help with this, please!! Your designs are such fun, Maggie!! (Also, I like your name – hee!)
