Size:
About 8” wide and 10” long

Materials:
Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Dark Purple – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m) Light Purple – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m)

Crochet Hook:
Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Dishcloth

Row 1:
(Right Side) With Dark Purple, ch 32, sc in 7th ch from hook (skipped ch count as ch 1, dc and ch 2), [ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, ch 4, skip next ch, sc in next ch] across, ending with ch 2, skip next 2 ch, sc in next ch, ch 2, dc in last ch.

Row 2:
Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, [4 dc in ch-2 sp, sc in ch-4 sp] across, ending with 4 dc in ch-2 sp, sc in turning ch.

Row 3:
Ch 5, turn, [sc in next dc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 4, skip next sc] across, ending with ch 2, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 2, dc in last sc; change color to Light Purple.

Rows 4-5:
With Light Purple, rep Rows 2-3.

At the end of Row 5, change color to Dark Purple.

Rows 6-21:
Rep Rows 2-5 four times.

Row 22:
With Dark Purple, rep Row 2. DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Rnd 1:
Ch 3, turn (right side facing), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in first sc, dc in next 4 dc, [dc in next sc, dc in next 4 dc] across, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in last sc; * working in sides of rows, evenly dc across *; working in starting ch, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in first ch, 4 dc in skipped ch-2 sp, [dc in next ch-1 sp, 4 dc in skipped ch-2 sp] across, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.
