Size:
About 10” wide and 10½” long
Materials:
Worsted Weight Cotton: White – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m); Green – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m); Dark Purple – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m); Light Purple – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m)
Crochet Hook:
Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

To Change Colors
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

 

DISHCLOTH
Row 1:
(Right Side) With Green, ch 34, working in back loops only, sc in 2nd ch from hook, * sc in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch, hdc in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch, [ch 1, skip next ch, tr in next ch] twice, ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch, hdc in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch, sc in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch; rep from * across, omitting last ch on final repeat, ending with sc in last ch. Change color to White.
Row 2:
With White, ch 1, turn, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across.
Row 3:
Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (33 sc) Change color to Dark Purple.
Row 4:
With Dark Purple, ch 4 (counts as first tr now and throughout), turn, * tr in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc, dc in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc, hdc in next sc, [ch 1, skip next st, sc in next sc] twice, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next sc, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc, tr in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc; rep from * across, ending with tr in last 2 sc.
Row 5:
Ch 4, turn, * tr in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, [ch 1, skip next st, sc in next st] twice, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, tr in next st, ch 1, skip next st; rep from * across, ending with tr in last 2 tr. Change color to White.
Rows 6-7:
Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 7, change color to Green.
Rows 8-9:
With Green, ch 1, turn, sc in first st, * sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, [ch 1, skip next st, tr in next st] twice, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st; rep from * across, ending with sc in last 2 sts.
At the end of Row 9, change color to White.
Rows 10-11:
Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 11, change color to Light Purple.
Rows 12-13:
With Light Purple, ch 4, turn, * tr in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, [ch 1, skip next st, sc in next st] twice, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, tr in next st, ch 1, skip next st; rep from * across, ending with tr in last 2 tr.
At the end of Row 13, change color to White.
Rows 14-15:
Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 15, change color to Green.
Rows 16-17:
Rep Rows 8-9.
At the end of Row 17, change color to White.
Rows 18-19:
Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 19, change color to Dark Purple.
Rows 20-21:
With Dark Purple, rep Rows 12-13.
At the end of Row 21, change color to White.
Rows 22-23:
Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 23, change color to Green.
Row 24:
Rep Row 8. Change color to White. DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging
Rnd 1:
Ch 1, turn (right side facing), 3 sc in first sc, evenly work 31 sc, 3 sc in last sc; * working in sides of rows, evenly work 31 sc across *; working in starting ch on other side, 3 sc in first ch, sc in next 31 ch across, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first sc.
Row 2:
Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each corner; join. Finish off and weave in ends.
