Skill: Easy
Size: About 8½” wide and 9” long.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Blue – 1½ oz, 75 yds, (45 g, 69 m); Variegated – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m); Green – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m) (Lily Sugar ‘n Cream – Robin’s Egg Blue, Summer Splash, Hot Green)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
To Change Colors
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) With Blue, ch 28, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [skip next ch, 2 sc in next ch] across. (27 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, [skip next sc, 2 sc in next sc] across. (27 sc)
Rows 3-4: Rep Row 2.
At the end of Rnd 4, change color to Variegated.
Rows 5-8: With Variegated, rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 8, change color to Green.
Rows 9-12: With Green, rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 12, change color to Variegated.
Rows 13-14: With Variegated, rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 14, change color to Green.
Rows 15-18: With Green, rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 18, change color to Variegated.
Rows 19-22: With Variegated, rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 22 change color to Blue.
Rows 23-26: With Blue, rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 26, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn (right side facing), 3 sc in first sc, [skip next sc, 2 sc in next sc] across to last sc, 3 sc in last sc; * working in sides of rows, [skip next row, 2 sc in next row] across to last row, skip last row *; working in other side of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, [skip next ch, 2 sc in next ch] across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Sl st to next sc, ch 1, 3 sc in same sc, [skip next sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
