Size: About 9” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Orange – 2 oz, 100 yd (60 g, 92 m)(Bernat Cottontots)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Shell: (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in same st or sp indicated.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Wrong Side) Ch 27, dc in 4th ch from hook, [dc in next ch] across. (25 dc)
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, skip next dc, Shell in next dc, [skip next 3 dc, Shell in next dc] 5 times, skip next dc, dc in last dc.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, [Shell in next Shell] across, ending with dc in last dc.
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, Shell in next Shell, [sc in sp between Shells, Shell in next Shell] across, ending with dc in last dc.
Row 5: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), turn, sc in next Shell, [ch 5, sc in next Shell] across, ending with ch 2, dc in last dc.
Row 6: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in first ch-2 sp, [Shell in next ch-5 sp] across, ending with 2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in last dc.
Rows 7-15: Rep Rows 2-6 and Rows 2-5.
Row 16: Ch 3, turn, dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in next sc, [3 dc in next ch-5 sp, dc in next sc] across, ending with dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in last dc. (25 dc) DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Left Edging
Row 1: With right side facing, 2 dc in same dc, working in sides of rows, evenly dc across; working 2 dc in last row; join with sl st to last dc on Row 1. Finish off and weave in ends.
Right Edging
Row 1: With right side facing, join with sl st to base of first dc on Row 1, working in sides of rows, 2 dc in first row, evenly dc across; 2 dc in same st as first dc Row 16; join with sl st to first dc on Row 16. Finish off and weave in ends.
