Skill Level: Easy

RED HEART® “Super Saver®”: 1 skein each 656 Real Teal A and 530 Orchid B.

RED HEART® “Stripes”: 4 balls 944 Breezy Stripe C, 3 balls 940 Passion Stripe D.

Crochet Hook: 6mm [US J-10]. Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 1 ripple = 4” measured from top of one ripple to top of next ripple.

CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size
hook to obtain the gauge.

Special Stitch

Cluster: Yarn over, insert hook in indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, [yarn over, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops] 2 times, yarn over, draw through all 4 loops on hook

NOTE: To change color, work last st of row until 2 loops remain on hook, drop old color, yarn over with new color and complete st. Fasten off old color.

THROW

Row 1 (Wrong Side): With A ch 164; sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across; change to C in last sc, turn—163 sc.

Row 2: With C, ch 2, skip first 3 sc, 3 dc in next sc, *skip next 2 sc, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next sc, skip next 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc, [skip next 2 sc, cluster in next sc]  twice, skip next 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc; repeat from * 9 more times, skip next 2 sc, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next sc, skip next 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc, skip next 2 sc, dc in last sc, turn.

Row 3: Ch 2, 3 dc in space between next two 3-dc groups, *(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 space, 3 dc in space between next two 3-dc groups, cluster in space between next 3-dc group and cluster, skip space between next 2 clusters, cluster in space between next cluster and 3-dc group, 3 dc in space between next two 3-dc groups; repeat from * 9 more times, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 space, 3 dc in space between next two 3-dc groups, dc in space between last 3-dc group and turning ch, turn—11 ripples.

Rows 4–7: Repeat Row 3; change to A in last st of Row 7.

Row 8: With A, ch 1, sc in first dc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next 4 dc, *3 sc in next ch-3 space, sc in next 6 dc, skip next 2 clusters, sc in next 6 dc; repeat from * 9 more times, 3 sc in next ch-3 space, sc in next 4 dc, skip next 2 dc, sc in top of turning ch, turn.

Rows 9 and 10: Ch 1, sc in first sc, skip next sc, sc in next 4 sc, *3 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 6 sc; repeat from * 9 more times, 3 sc in  next sc, sc in next 4 sc, skip next sc, sc in last sc, turn; change to B in last st of Row 10.

Rows 11–13: With B, repeat Row 9 three times; change to D in last st of Row 13.

Rows 14–19: With D, repeat Rows 2–7; change to B in last st of Row 19.

Rows 20–22: With B, repeat Rows 8–10; change to A in last st of Row 22.

Rows 23–25: With A, repeat Row 9 three times; change to C in last st of Row 25.

Rows 26–73: Repeat Rows 2–25 two more times.

Rows 74–79: With C, repeat Rows 2–7; change to A in last st of Row 31.

Row 80: Repeat Row 8. Fasten off.
