Size: About 7½” wide and 9” long
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Blue – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); White – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Cluster (cl): Keeping last loop of each dc on hook, work 2 dc in st or sp indicated, yo and pull through 3 loops on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Wrong Side) With Blue, ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch 2, skip next 2 ch, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch, ch 2, skip next 2 ch, sc in next ch] across. (5 sc, 12 ch-2 sps and 8 dc)
Row 2: (Right Side) Ch 4 (counts as first tr), turn, skip next ch-2 sp, [(cl, ch 1) 3 times in next ch-2 sp, skip next 2 ch-2 sps] across to last 2 ch-2 sp, (cl, ch 1) 3 times in next ch-2 sp, skip last ch-2 sp, tr in last sc. (4 cl-groups and 2 tr) Finish off and weave in ends.
Row 3: With wrong side facing, join White with sc in first tr, [ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp] across to last tr, ch 1, sc in last tr.
Row 4: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, [dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] across to last ch-1 sp, dc in last ch-1 sp, dc in last sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Row 5: With wrong side facing, join Blue with sc in first dc, [ch 2, skip next dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next dc, ch 2, skip next ch-1 sp, sc in next ch-1 sp] across, working final sc in last dc.
Rows 6-16: Rep Rows 2-5 twice and Rows 2-4 once more.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join Blue with sc to any corner, sc evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to first sc.
