Peach Delight Dishcloth

Skill: Easy
Size: About 9” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Off-White – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); Variegated – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); Small amount Yellow (Sugar ‘n Cream – Soft Ecru, Pastel Delight)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
To Change Colors
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Beginning Shell (beg shell): Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same st of sp indicated.
Shell: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same st or sp indicated
DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, [3 dc in ring, ch 2} 3 times; join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc and 4 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Off-White with sl st in any corner ch-2 sp, beg shell in same sp, ch 1, [shell in next ch-2 sp, ch 1] around; join. (4 shells, 4 ch-1 sps)
Rnd 3: Sl st in next 2 dc, sl st in ch-2 sp, beg shell in same sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, [shell in next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] around; join.
Rnd 4: Sl st in next 2 dc, sl st in ch-2 sp, beg shell in same sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] twice, * shell in next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] twice; rep from * around; join.
Rnd 5: Sl st in next 2 dc, sl st in ch-2 sp, beg shell in same sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] 3 times, * shell in next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] 3 times; rep from * around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 6: With right side facing, join Variegated with sl st to any corner ch-2 sp, beg shell in same sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] 4 times, * shell in next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] 4 times; rep from * around; join
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in same dc as joining, sc in next 2 dc, * (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner ch-2 sp, [sc in next 3 dc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch-1 sp] 5 times **, sc in next 3 dc; rep from * around, ending at ** on final repeat; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Center Flower
Rnd 1: With right side facing, working in Rnd 1 of Dishcloth, join Variegated with sl st around post of any dc; ch 8 (counts as first dc and ch 5), [dc around post of next dc, ch 5] around; join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc and 12 ch-5 lps)
Rnd 2: Working in front of ch-5 lps, dc around post of same dc as joining, ch 3, [dc around post of next dc, ch 3] around; join. (12 dc and 12 ch-3 lps) Finish off and weave in ends.
