Skill: Intermediate
Size: About 10″ Square
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Blue – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m); Dark Green – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m); White – 2 oz, 100 yd (60 g, 92 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream – Robin Egg Blue, Dark Green, White)
Crochet Hook:
Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
Gauge:
6 dc = 2″, 3 dc rows = 2″.

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches
Cluster (cl):
Keeping last lp of each dc on hook, 3 dc in st or sp indicated, yo, pull through all lps on hook.
Front Post Double Crochet: (FPdc):
Yo hook, insert hook from front to back to front around post of indicated st, yo hook, pull up lp, [yo hook, pull through 2 lps] twice.

DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1:
(Right Side) Starting at center, with Blue, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc. (8 sc)
Rnd 2:
Ch 4 (counts as first tr now and throughout), turn, 2 tr in same st as joining, [3 tr in next sc] around; join with sl st to front lp of first tr. (24 tr)
Rnd 3a:
Ch 1, working in front loops only, (sc, ch 2, dc) in same st as joining, [(sc, ch 2, dc) in next tr] around; join with sl st to back lp of first tr on Rnd 2. (24 petals)
Rnd 3b:
Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 2 tr, 2 sc in next tr, [sc in next 3 tr, 2 sc in next tr] around; join with sl st to front lp of first sc. (30 sc)
Rnd 4a:
Ch 1, working in front loops only, (sc, ch 2, dc) in same st as joining, [(sc, ch 2, dc) in next sc] around; join with sl st to back lp of first sc on Rnd 3b. (30 petals) Finish off Blue and weave in ends.
Rnd 4b:
With right side facing, join Dark Green with sl st to back lp of any sc on Rnd 3b, ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), dc in same st as joining, dc in next 2 sc, [2 dc in next sc, dc in next 2 sc] around; join with sl st to first dc. (40 dc)
Rnd 5:
Ch 2, keeping last lp of each dc on hook, 2 dc in same st as joining, yo, pull through all lps on hook, ch 1, cl in same st, [ch 1, skip next dc, cl in next dc] 4 times, ch 1, * (cl, ch 1, cl) in next dc, [ch 1, skip next dc, cl in next dc] 4 times, ch 1; rep from * around; join with sl st to top of first cl. Finish off Dark Green and weave in ends.
Rnd 6:
With right side facing, join White with sl st to any corner ch-1 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in same sp, [dc in next cl, 2 dc in next ch-1 sp] 5 times, dc in next cl, * (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in corner ch-1 sp, [dc in next cl, 2 dc in next ch-1 sp] 5 times, dc in next cl; rep from * around; join with sl st to first dc. (88 dc)
Rnd 7:
Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 9 dc, FPdc in next 3 dc, dc in next 10 dc] 3 times, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 9 dc, FPdc in next 3 dc, dc in next 7 dc; join with sl st to first dc. (96 dc)
Rnd 8:
Ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, [(dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 10 dc, FPdc in next 3 dc, dc in next 11 dc] 3 times, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 10 dc, FPdc in next 3 dc, dc in next 7 dc; join with sl st to first dc. (104 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.

Edging
Rnd 1:
With right side facing, join Blue with sc in any corner ch-1 sp, 2 sc in same sp, sc in each dc around, working 3 sc in each corner ch-1 sp; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

    I found that if you ch 2-3 between clusters on corners of round
    5, it squares it off much nicer, giving the cloth a better look. Love all these dishcloth patterns!!!
