Worsted Weight Cotton: Multicolor – 2 oz, 95 yd (56.7 g, 86 m)(Sugar ‘n Cream – Potpourri)

Crochet Hook:
Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

DISHCLOTH

Row 1:
(Wrong Side) Ch 34, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [sc in next ch] across. (33 sc)

Row 2:
(Right Side) Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, skip first sc, dc in next sc, * ch 4, skip next 4 sc, sc in next sc, ch 4, skip next 4 sc **, 3 dc in next sc; rep from * across, ending at ** on final repeat, dc in last 2 sc.

Row 3:
Ch 3, turn, skip first dc, * 2 dc in next dc, ch 3, skip next ch-4 sp, sc in next sc, ch 3, skip next ch-4 sp, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc; rep from * across.

Row 4:
Ch 3, turn, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next ch-3 sp, dc in next sc, ch 2, skip next ch-3 sp, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc; rep from * across.

Row 5:
Ch 3, turn, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * ch 1, skip next 2 ch-2 sps, 2 dc in next dc **, dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * across, ending dc in last 3 dc.

Row 6:
Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, * ch 4, skip next 4 dc, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 4, skip next 4 dc, sc in next dc; rep from * across.

Row 7:
Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, * ch 3, skip next ch-4 sp, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 3, skip next ch-4 sp, sc in next sc; rep from * across.

Row 8:

Row 9:

Row 18:

Edging

Rnd 1:
Ch 1, turn (right side facing), 3 sc in first dc, [4 sc in next ch-4 lp, sc in next sc, 4 sc in next ch-4 lp, sc in next 2 sc] twice, 4 sc in next ch-4 lp, sc in next sc, 4 sc in next ch-4 lp, 3 sc in last sc; evenly work sc around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

    Has anyone else done this one? I’m having trouble with it. I’m on rnd 4 and the directions don’t match the actual stitches nor the pic.

    Upon working farther and looking at the directions more closely, I found that on a few of the rounds I was missing that when you repeat from the *, I was missing the first part……skipping over it in my mind I guess. I did find, though, that to make row 2’s stitches come out right, you need 33 sc in the first row rather than 32.

    I am thinking that, upside-down, this looks like CHRISTMAS TREES!!!!!! Making a Christmas dishcloth accordingly!
