#151 Ocean Weave Crochet Dishcloth – Maggie Weldon Maggies Crochet

Tuesday May 31, 2011

A customer sent in a photograph of a vintage potholder, looking for the pattern.  She had seen it at a family reunion and her aunt had made it many years ago.  Wendi spent much of a Saturday working up a piece and writing the pattern from the photograph. That afternoon, the new Crochet World magazine was delivered – with a very similar design – for a potholder.  Since Wendi had worked the piece up in yarn, it makes a nice dishcloth.  A potholder would be made smaller and double-sided.  Thank you Wendi

Follow me onto dishcloth #152 and the rest of the story…

click on the “click here to print” at the printer icon and scroll way down the page……….you will have a choice of saving the pdf file or opeing it to print.

You should not have to pay to print them…….just click on the printer icon where it says “click here to print”. It is at the end of the patterns.

When I click on “click here to print”. it does not print. That’s when it downloads and I have to save it into my documents file. Than when I need it I can print it out. I just wish it would print with bigger font!!

But I love them so much!! I have been hanging them on a ‘closeline’ on my kitchen wall for decorations. Now I have 3 neighbors want to learn to crochet! Hope I am a good teacher! I thought myself but I don’t know about others. Just a warning!!

Can someone explain this mysterious “Right Side” and “Right Sides” ?!?!?!?! Please email me at ThunderOKC@aol.com Thanks!

Edging instruction is mumbled together. It needs to be broken up more clearly…not all in one sentence row. Break them apart (by pressing enter…going to next line). Lessen the instruction, make it clear and simple. Thanks!

I worked up this pattern just today after a few attempts. Its a beautiful cloth, but kept ending up so big. I used an F sized hook, but I must have large stiches or something because my cloth measured 14 inches in length. So I reduced the chain down to 36 and made 3×9 cloth. More appropriate size. But still a nice looking cloth. Thanks for the pattern!
