Skill: Easy
Size: About 9” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Stripes – 2 oz, 110 yd (57 g, 100 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream – Violet Stripes)
Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm)
Gauge: 3 sc = 1″, 3 sc rows = 1″.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) Ch 29, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [sc in next ch] across. (28 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, working around post of sc, sc in next 26 sc, sc in last sc. (28 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (28 sc)
Rows 4-27: Rep Rows 2-3 twelve times.
Row 28: Rep Row 2.
At the end of Row 28, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 26 sc, 3 sc in last sc; * working in ends of rows, sc in each row across *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, sc in next 26 ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to * once, working in Row 28, sc in first sc; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, working around post of sc, sc in each sc around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.
