#68 Little Blue Schoolhouse Dishcloth

 At this point March 9th we are over 1/5 the of way finished with the Dishcloth-a-Day Challenge.  We are still in need of designs.  It has been so much fun getting new dishcloths in the mail and reading everyones stories.

Little Blue Schoolhouse Dishcloth

Skill: Easy

Size: About 8” square.

Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Blue – – 2 oz, 95 yds (57 g, 86 m) White – 2 oz, 95 yds (57 g, 86 m) (Sugar ‘n Cream – Blue Jeans, White)

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Dishcloth

Row 1: (Right Side) With White, ch 25, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next ch) across. (24 sc)

Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.

Rows 4-22: Working in sc, follow chart making necessary color changes with Blue.

Rows 23-25: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.

At the end of Row 25, DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Rnd 1: Ch 1, 3 sc in last sc worked, * working in sides of rows, evenly sc across *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, (sc in next ch) across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to * once; working in Row 25, 3 sc in first sc, (sc in next sc) across; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Blue with sl st to any center sc of corner 3-sc group, ch 3 (counts as first dc), (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sc, (dc in next sc) around, working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each corner; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.

    Love the litle school house and I see you changed the log in process, great, now I have a question why is the school house between # 64 and # 65? take care and thank you for the patterns. teapea

    It would be wonderful to have a picture for this dishcloth. If there is a picture, it never came through.
    I’m really loving all of these patterns.
