#41 Nubby Dishcloth

Have you seen the Wall-of-Dishcloths?  WOW what a gorgeous sight!!!  Zac our webmaster made this amazing page for us.  When you see this it makes you feel proud to be a crocheter!  Crochet really is amazing with all the lovely things you can create with it.

Skill: Easy

Size: About 10” square.

Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn:

Multicolor- 2 oz, 100 yd (60 g, 92 m)

Banana – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m)

(I Love This Cotton – Tuscany #272, Banana #256)

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

Gauge: 6 sc = 2″, 6 sc rows = 2″.

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

Dishcloth

Row 1: (Right Side) With Multicolor, ch 30, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next ch) across. (29 sc)

Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.

Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc, (picot, sc in next 3 sc) across.

Rows 5-25: Rep Rows 2-4 seven times.

Rows 26-27: Rep Rows 2-3 once.

At the end of Row 27, finish off and weave in ends.

Edging

Rnd 1: With right side facing, join Banana with sc to first sc on Row 27, 2 sc in same sc, (sc in next sc) across to last sc, 3 sc in last sc; * working in sides of rows, evenly sc across *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, (sc in next ch) across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

    I have a question. I notice that these patterns tell us who designed the pattern, but yet, you claim the copyright to the pattern. Are these designers giving up their copyright for you to claim?
