My aunt made these stockings in the 70’s for my three children putting their initial on the cuff. I have made them over the years for my five grandsons and I’m making making one this year for my new granddaughter. This is a wonderful pattern and if God sees fit I may be making the stockings for my great grandchildren as well. Happy Holidays and Merry Crocheting to all.

This stocking was made by my daughters G-grandmother years ago. My daughter wanted to carry on the same traditions with her sons as she had for herself and was so glad to find this pattern so that she could re-create the stockings for them. Her G-grandmother is gone now but she would be so proud that her G-grandaughter is carrying on her Christmas traditions. 🙂 Thank you so much!

My grandmother was making these stockings back in the 1970’s for each of her grandchildren, and there were 30+ of us. They are really nice and hold lots of Christmas surprises. Thank you for bringing back the pattern!

It says in the pattern to make twelve squares, but the photo shows only eleven. Where do I put the twelfth one?
